I never really need to notice a huge difference with any supplements I take but I didn’t notice any adverse side effects from this. I have productive days when I take it and my focus feels a tad better. I really like knowing that it comes from a reputable company and the quality and value seems good. I would likely purchase again. Bf seems to love it!
I have been suffering with what feels like brain fog for a few months now. I read that alpha - gpc is a good supplement to help provide clarity and memory support- which I really need! After searching and reading details on several options I chose this brand. At first I thought it was making me worse. For the first week I just felt a little out of sorts especially in the morning. But sometime during the second week I started to feel more “normal” and it has been getting better as I continue to take it. I don’t know the science behind it but I do know what I feel and I think it is making a difference. I give it 4 vs 5 because I really was ready to stop taking it before I started to feel better. So I recommend giving it a chance.
With any supplement, it usually takes weeks to see a difference. I’m anticipating good results as Choline is great for brain function. Opening the bottle doesn’t produce any unpleasant odors and there is no taste, so they are easy to take. The serving size is 2 capsules and the capsules are normal sized for supplements.
I just started taking these yesterday, so haven't gotten any real effects yet, I will update this in a month but so far pills were easy to swallow and had no aftertaste or flavor
This Alpha GPC appears to be of good quality. Number One Nutrition advertises the product to be made in the USA, 3rd party tested, and sourced from a GMP facility. These statements are a big deal; the US FDA does not test supplements (or require them to be tested elsewhere) before hitting the market - it's only once people start complaining about side effects or serious medical issues, THEN that supplement/company lands on the FDA radar.A lot of supplement manufacturers (especially from overseas...) take advantage of this fact and will sell you rice flour in a capsule claiming it is Supplement A, or sell you 500mg of Supplement B when the majority of the capsules are just useless fillers. People tend to go for these products because they're often a cheaper price, gambling that they're not buying very expensive flour - or something worse.Supplement manufacturers who submit their products to undergo 3rd party testing and become GMP or NSF certified are companies that strive to obtain consumer trust in their products so we can be sure they are selling us exactly what they say they are, in the potency they advertise, with all the actual ingredients listed on the bottle.Obviously everyone should seek to purchase supplements that have these stamps on the bottle, but for these companies to undergo 3rd party testing and maintain GMP/NSF registrations often means those products cost more. That said, under $30 for a 60-day supply of 50% Alpha GPC is a little pricey. There are a few forms of Choline:-Choline Bitartrate is 40% Choline by weight (so only 40% of whatever mg of your capsule is actual Choline), cheaper, but does not easily pass the blood-brain barrier so you won't get as much of a cognitive benefit.-CDP-Choline is 18% Choline by weight and easily passes into the blood brain barrier. It contains less Choline, but it's good because in addition to Choline it also forms uridine in the brain (good for neuron repair).-Alpha GPC is probably the best form of Choline. It is 40% Choline by weight. It's water soluble and easily passes the blood brain barrier for max cognitive boost. The problem with Alpha GPC is that it can start to liquefy and can make your capsules get soft and gummy. Because of this, a lot of manufacturers mix their Alpha GPC 50/50 with a filler to help keep the capsule stable -- hence 50% Alpha GPC. This can lead to dosage/label confusion, thinking you're getting a good dose of Alpha GPC when you actually aren't.So to break it down, N1 Nutrition's 50% Alpha GPC: 600mg serving = each capsule is 300mg.300mg capsule is 50/50 Alpha GPC & Filler = 150mg of straight Alpha GPC150mg of Alpha GPC is 40% actual Choline = 60mg actual Choline per capsule, or 120mg per serving.I've read the recommended daily serving of Alpha GPC for cognitive benefit ranges from 300mg to over 1000mg a day. That's at least more than 4 of these N1 Nutrition capsules a day.Conversely, my favorite brand (of which I have no affiliation whatsoever, this information is for comparative purposes only) is BestVite. They are GMP AND NSF certified and made in the USA as well.Their 120 capsule, 600mg Alpha GPC isn't 50/50, so that means each one of their capsules contains 300mg Alpha GPC and 120mg actual Choline. So both 600mg serving, 120 capsules of Alpha GPC:N1 Nutrition - 60mg actual Choline in each capsule: $27BestVite - 120mg actual Choline each in capsule: $19CDP Choline from any manufacturer who tests and has their formulations certified is a more trustworthy source, so you're more likely to see cognitive benefits. I suggest you do your own research (and math) to figure out what you want to do.
The tough problem for answering the simple question, "Is this working?", is that I don't think you can expect results so profound that its short of amazing, and what other changes, either in lifestyle or by including other supplements, have I also started recently? I also don't expect any supplement to produce quick changes, or just make me go "Wow!".With that in mind, something seems to be improving with focus and memory, even those moments when you've set something down hours or maybe minutes ago, but now can't recall where. I seem to be having less of that happening. But I've also added a supplement around the same time that includes Phosphatidylserine, L-Theanine, Magnesium, and B6.So is this supplement or that other supplement that is delivering reults, or the combination of the two what appears to offer effectiveness? And there's no way to really know, since I began both around the same time, over two months ago. The only way to find out is to drop one of the two for a while, take only one, and see if I can tell a difference. But since I do think something is working to make memory better, I'm not keen to drop either. And maybe it is the combination of the two that is giving some degree of results. So I will continue both. After that, I would say read other reviews of this product and other Alpha GPC Choline supplements, vs. reviews for the Phosphatidylserine/L-Theanine supplement, and either decide which you think is better to start with, or do as I am doing - take both.
Nice quality Alpha GPC supplement that does seem to work. I have been taking this for almost a month, and noticed after a couple of weeks that it has helped lift some brain fog, which makes it easier to focus and concentrate. Although the effects are mild at this time, they are noticeable.
Number One Nutrition Premium Alpha GPC Choline Capsules 600mg, Natural Brain Supplement to Support Focus, Memory, Clarity and Energy, 120 Veg Caps.I was very interested in trying ALPHA GPC especially with Choline because I was looking for support for brain health including cognition. I had never heard of Number One Nutrition so I took a few minutes to familiarize myself like I do for all the supplements I am interested in. I was pleasantly surprised that Number One Nutrition has been around for almost 20 years and has vast experience in "healthcare solutions". They state on their bottles and their own webpage and this product page that their products are made in the USA, non-GMO, 3rd party tested, additive free, and manufactured in a facility that is certified GMP.The suggested dose is 2 capsules a day which equals a total of 600 mg. there are 120 capsules in this bottle that will give you 60 days servings. I found the capsules easy to swallow but I made sure to take plenty of water with these. I usually don't like to take too many supplements on an empty stomach. From what I have read elsewhere about Alpha GPC it is best to take these on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. It's been a month now since I started using this supplement and I have not turned into an Einstein! However, considering the memory lapses I have been having for my age ( as they tell me that is normal) I feel like my recall is not so slow as before. Well, I'm going to keep at it and see where this goes. I can heartily recommend Nuber One Nutrition Alpha GPC with Choline for their quality, safety and reasonable prices.
Choline helps with brain boost to keep you focused and mentally alert. Dairy and soy free which is perfect for me. Easy to swallow capsules, good value for the amount you get in the bottle. Also GMO free is what I look for when purchasing products. Overall, would definitely purchase in future, as it seems to be effective for keeping me clear headed at work!
I've been taking this product almost daily for almost 3 weeks and I can say it is one of the few supplements I've used that produced results fairly quickly. I am a skeptic at heart and have tried all kinds of mushroom supplements to reduce brain fog. I've decided that as a 57-year-old woman, maybe mushrooms don't work on my mind the way they do others. But this supplement has helped with my focus and mental energy. I notice a boost within an hour of taking them. It is one of the supplements I've experimented with through Amazon's Vine Program that I will buy so that I can continue getting the benefits. I'm very glad I was able to try this product and recommend it, especially at the current price point of under $14. It's a good value too. The capsules are easy to swallow with liquid and I have not had any aftertaste issues. The bottle was sealed internally and externally as well.
easy to use.appears to be a quality product
A lot of supplements I've tried I don't really notice any difference, but this one I do. I really do notice my memory working better and I'm more focused, and I haven't noticed any negative side-effects. Your results may vary, consult your doctor before starting any new supplements. It didn't have any issues, no burst capsules or anything.
I've been taking this for about 2 weeks now. I'm familiar with alpha-GPC from various preworkout drinks Ive have over the years so I decided to use this to compliment my current preworkout stack. My workouts have been really focused lately so I believe these may be giving me a little edge. At 600mg per serving (50%) it's a solid dose.
Easy to swallow caplets. No off-putting smells. Im gonna be honest, these aren't going to make you into a genius. It takes hard work and determination. Lots of study. It helps if you enjoy learning new information every day. These will help a bit with retaining information and staying focused. I haven't noticed any negative side effects at all. I think I notice a small energy boost.
I’ve been taking these Alpha GPC capsules for a couple weeks now, and I feel like my brain’s been hitting the snooze button a little less. The focus boost isn’t like flipping a switch or chugging three shots of espresso—it’s more like your thoughts just stop wandering off every five minutes to check what snacks are in the fridge. I take two capsules in the morning with a big glass of water, and while I’m not suddenly solving quantum equations, I’m definitely getting through my to-do list without needing a motivational TED Talk halfway through. No weird aftertaste, no jittery crash, and I haven’t noticed any side effects except maybe more vivid dreams and slightly more enthusiasm for finishing my tasks (or maybe that’s just placebo kicking in). Either way, it’s smooth sailing so far. For the price and how easy it is to pop into my routine, I’d say it’s worth a try if your brain’s been feeling like it’s running on dial-up lately.
This really only lasted me a month. I do like that the supplement does cram in any unnecessary ingredients to try to make it more expensive like a lot of supplements do nowadays. I haven't experienced any stomach problems when taking this. Capsules are well-manufactured and easy to swallow. Pretty good although more expensive some other brands out there for the same quantity.
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer).* These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: Cognitive decline is a real thing. My partner says that I am forgetful and that I should get more brain supplements from Amazon.Likes:* Made in the USA* Product works, I have much higher concentration and focus when I've taken two of these* Fun side effect (more on this at the end of the review)* Colorless, odorless* I got the best night of sleep I've had in years the first time I took this supplement. That wasn't on the label but it was great. No likes:* NoneFinal thoughts: In addition to the higher mental acuity I experienced, this supplement also has the side effect of increasing my libido. My partner is wondering what got into me but isn't complaining! Of all of the Vine supplements I've purchased, this is my favorite so far. Once this bottle is gone I will definitely order more (which I will have to buy at full price).
This capsule is easy to take. It seems to help with my focus and mental clarity throughout the day. I also seem to have a little more energy throughout my work day.
Opening the bottle and there are no strange or off smells. They have minimal to no taste, and are easy to take
When reading reviews I was surprised by how many people didn’t feel any difference taking Alpha GPC. I’ve taken this supplement for years off and on and it always kicked in on the first dose on a subtle level. I was reading the instructions on the bottle and noticed it says to take with a meal. I’ve taken several brands of Alpha GPC and it always said to take on an empty stomach. I did some research and found that it can cause upset stomach in some people if taken without food. I guess this brand is trying to minimize any side effects that a few people may experience. I also feel this may be a mistake. If you don’t feel any positive effects, try taking 300 mg (1 capsule) on an empty stomach fist thing. A couple of hours later, you might notice you are thinking clearer and more focused. It’s also important to take with a full 8oz of water.I take 300 mg (1 capsule) first thing in the morning to reap cognitive and physical benefits. Make no mistake, this isn’t a stimulant like caffeine or other drugs. I find I can keep numbers in my head easier and do mental math without feeling like I’m stimulated from taking something. The effects are subtle and you may not even realize your brain is working better and more focused than usual because it just feels normal. This is a well known nootropics used by college students for study. It can also have positive but subtle effects on physical endurance.
Quality product, plenty of transparency on the bottle. GMP certified. Glad it is simply one nutrient and there's no added 20 other random nutrients. Capsules are made from vegetable cellulose.
I have been taking this supplement for over a week. Whenever I take it I've noticed that I get acide reflux from it. I have not noticed any outstanding positive effects from taking this supplements but I do hope that I will benefit from taking it after taking it for a longer period of time.
I’ve got to admit I’d never heard of Alpha GPC Choline before, but after quickly researching it a bit, I see the research on it is a bit scant and doesn’t really confirm its effectiveness in helping to improve cognition. I’ve been taking it for a couple of weeks and really haven’t noticed much difference in my energy, memory, or focus. I do realize that it takes a while for supplements to start working in our system. That said, it is pretty easy to take and decently priced, so I’ll continue taking it until the bottle is finished. I’m not taking any other new supplements for this purpose, so if I notice a difference, I’ll report back and possibly reorder.
I really love this Alpha GPC brain supplement which supports brain focus, memory, clarity and gives you the energy you may be lacking. This supplement delivers 600mg of choline in its natural L-Alpha-Glycerylphosphorylcholine form which is the most bioavailable form of Choline available that is quickly absorbed to fuel and keep your brain sharp. The formula is gluten-free, soy-free, and made without synthetic colors or flavors. Each bottle contains 120 capsules which provides for 60 servings of high-quality Alpha GPC. Great brain supplement overall.
